We develop core capabilities across a range of product domains including mixed reality, scene and object understanding, world-scale mapping, avatars, AR/VR remote presence / calling, digital fashion, AR Sharing, and more.As an Software Engineer in the XR People Tracking team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our team's infrastructure software, including our cloud-based platforms, APIs, and data pipelines.

Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Zurich) Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software that meets our standards and exceeds user expectations

  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements

  3. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to our coding standards and best practices

  4. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other engineers

  5. Identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability issues

  6. Develop automated tests and monitoring tools to ensure the reliability and availability of our systems

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field

  2. 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong background in system design and architecture

  3. Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as C++, Python, etc.

  4. Experience with large-scale software development, including distributed systems, databases, and APIs

  5. Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as testing, continuous integration, and agile methodologies

  6. Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics tools and techniques

  2. Experience with DevOps tools and practices such as containerization, infrastructure as code, and continuous deployment

  3. Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

  4. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
