Cloudmark, as part of Proofpoint protects the messaging infrastructure of more than 120 tier-one email and mobile service providers worldwide, including Orange France, Swisscom, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Cox, and NTT. We are expanding our product line and service offerings to prevent other malicious online activities to make messaging safe.
We are seeking a proactive, creative and knowledgeable Senior Managed Services Engineer to join the Safe Messaging Cloud (SMC) team which serves some of the largest email and mobile Service Providers. The role will demand interaction with large scale service providers at the Operations, Network, Project Management and Messaging Director level.
The role encompasses a variety of customer-facing technical responsibilities from implementation, production and customer technical account management. You will be responsible for evangelizing the benefits of our solutions to new customers, advising, and managing Cloudmark email and mobile solutions for new and existing SMC customers.
Identify, analyze and research threats and trends for internal and external communication
Liaise with Solutions Architects to recommend and help design new policies to stop new threats
Liaise with other departments (Products, Engineering, Professional Services, Support) around field priorities and ongoing product roadmap priorities; act as the internal customer advocate
Communicate with key customer technical and business representative and ensure technical and business understanding of solutions which are being provided
Participate in the proactive monitoring and adjustment of detection systems for new threats and use best practices to ensure these threats are stopped quickly
Participate in weekly customer calls and provide customers with regular threat and attack updates
Respond to customer requests for help when it falls outside of the scope for Support
Act as technical account manager for Safe Messaging Cloud accounts
What you bring to the team
Proven experience with Linux system and application administration
Working knowledge of SMTP and / or mobile message protocols
Knowledge of Email and / or Mobile Messaging security issues
Understanding of Anti-Spam/messaging technologies
Experience with data analysis using scripts or other analytical tools such as Splunk
Fast and Eager learner – seeks out knowledge rather than waiting for knowledge to be presented
Passionate about providing excellent solutions and services to customers
Excellent listening skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to self-manage time and juggle multiple priorities
Ability to work in an organized controlled manner as part of a greater project team or as a single project resource.
Ability to achieve completion of project deliverables by agreed project deadlines and under pressure.
