For a Building Automation system to function properly from planning to operation it is important that it is continuously optimized and maintained in accordance with its use and that it adjusts to occupants’ needs. That is why we connect buildings and deploy advanced technologies to digitalize and automate optimization of buildings. This topic is at the forefront of the industry-wide digital transformation and its importance is ever-increasing
Currently we are looking for a Global Product Manager to drive our roadmap of offerings for Edge computing. Join us and shape the next generation of digital building offerings with us!
Location: Preferred location is Zug, Switzerland OR Milan, Italy, however, other locations, in any of our major Siemens SI locations are located can be considered. Prerequisite is in any case, your legal eligibility to work in the respective country and location
The Role
You are responsible to drive the vision, strategy and roadmap of Building X Platform services, among which Edge Computing, Connectivity framework, Notification and internal Core Assets. This in close collaboration with the user needs and cross-domain business priorities
Develop a thorough understanding of needs and pain points of your customers, which range from End Customers to Developers. Analyse and transform the findings into new products and enhancement to existing products
Define and track metrics to follow on product adoptions and commercial success
Collaborate closely with our global R&D and UX teams. By using agile methods, you continuously build product improvements, while aiming for a fast-paced development
You partner with system and product architects, while aligning with Business Development, to continually translate market needs and establish a leading market position
Team up with sales and marketing, as well as with other product managers in our global organization, for successful international launches of new products and services
Your Profile
A Degree in Computer Science or similar provides you with a good grasp of our topics
Our new colleague brings along 5 years plus of Product Management experience within software and/or digital services, derived from a B2B context
Experience as a developer, mandatory to be able to empathize, understand and talk to your customers needs and pains
Experience with Agile development and development of Cloud Computing services
Experience with Edge computing or Telecommunication technologies is an advantage
Experience with building automation systems is an advantage
Technical track record and an easy to spot passion for digitalization topics
Excellent communication and presentation skills on all levels
You offer an open and innovative mindset
Your strong strategic thinking combined with the willingness to get your hands dirty helps you to leave a global footprint
Fluency in English is a must
German language is a big advantage
