Objective / Purpose of Position

  • Management and safeguarding of the ship, responsibility for the safety of guests and crew, personnel management

Main Responsibilities

  • Assisting the 1st Captain with management of the ship according to existing law and regulations

  • All tasks that are necessary for a safe command of the vessel

  • Assisting the 1st Captain with all safety and security procedures and documents according to company rules

  • Taking over command of the ship when required

Requirements:

  • Good command of German and/or English language

  • Competed training with valid Captain licenses for Rhine/Danube/Elbe and/or other rivers

  • Minimum 3 years of experience on a similar position

  • Radar and Radio Transmission licenses

  • Certificates for “Safety Expert for Passenger Vessels” and “First Aid” are a benefit

  • Friendly and work-oriented personality
