(Assistant) Manager, Verbund Operations & Analyses(003738)
Run operative analyses to support immediate decisions on Verbund scale, using applicable tools (e.g. by running Verbund simulation / optimization)
Develop strategic analyses, e.g. by running Verbund simulation / optimization
Use/apply the Verbund Optimizer solution to provide transparency on KPIs, set up and maintain Verbund models, simulate and optimize the Verbund given operative and strategic scenarios
Validate predictions made by simulations and compare with actual Verbund behavior
Set up portfolio of operational scenarios for deviation management, turnaround management, energy/utility/emissions management to consult site management and operational cluster heads
Build respective simulation models together with the Solution expert
Derive recommendations from analyses results, communicate, and explain implications
University degree in natural sciences, mathematics, (chemical) engineering, informatics or related
5+years of work experience in operations of chemical production sites with understanding for business processes and value chain interdependencies
Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to translate simulation results into concrete actions
Very good English and Chinese language skills, spoken and written
Quick familiarization with software solutions, high flexibility in analysis tools
Preferably experience in programming (Python) and good understanding of software development
Ideally background in mathematical network modelling and optimization, preferably in the chemical and energy sectors
Involvement in project management, with an independent way of working and the ability to manage change
