Penna Flame Industries Flame Hardening Technician in Zelienople, Pennsylvania

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This person will work daily in a shop environment on the following tasks:?

  • Inspect parts using a tape measure, flashlight, eyesight, touch, calipers, scales
  • Set up parts for processing using a variety of tools, possibly even welding fixtures, using small rulers measuring to 1/32" or millimeters
  • Operating the flame hardening machines during processing using buttons, timers, valves, levers, and switches
  • Operating fork lifts and cranes
  • Operating large industrial ovens
  • Filling out shop orders with detailed documentation about the process
  • Keeping area clean

*WORK ENVIRONMENT *

  • The operator is stationed behind a metal fence and at least six feet away from the part.
  • The more heat the heat process puts off, the further away the operator is stationed.
  • Proper lock out/tag out protocol is strictly followed.
  • All necessary and extra personal protective equipment will be supplied by Penna Flame.
