Saw Operator - Metals (2nd Shift - $22.87/hr.)

 

As a Saw Operator you will be using the appropriate saw to cut honeycomb material into designated shape and size to meet customer and company specifications.  Inspect and prepare finished material for shipment. Currently there is an opening for a Saw Operator in our Metals division on 2nd shift: (2:30p - 10:30p. Mon-Friday) Metals Saw Operator: Starting at $22.87 per hour on 2nd Shift! Key Responsibilities: Determine what material needs to be cut for the day from the production work order. Obtain raw honeycomb material from extrusion/expansion area. Set up saws accordingly to cutting instructions. Cut honeycomb into shapes and sizes designated by the customer requirements. Monitor quality of each finished block. Monitor equipment and maintain in good working order. Complete associated paperwork. Properly dispose of scrap material Perform inventory checks on a quarterly basis. Assist other departments as necessary. Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery by being efficient, productive, and careful. Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance. Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Strong attention to detail Mechanically inclined Ability to work overtime. Requirements: Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card').
