Senior Java Troubleshooting Engineer

We are looking for talented individuals in Mexico who want to be part of the team that for 30 years has made Java into the development platform of choice in the Enterprise and many other fields. Build your career working with Enterprises in the development and mission critical deployment of Java. Use your experience and take the opportunity to develop your skills across the many different roles that it takes to develop and ship one of the most used software platforms in the world.

You will work on Java related engagements ranging from straightforward questions to working critical issues requiring skilled analysis and engagement across the Java group and other Oracle Product Groups. In addition, you will work with the Java developer community and contribute to product direction interacting regularly with Java Engineering to review customer requirements, usability, and competition. As part of the position, you will be expected to become knowledgeable about and diagnose issues in the JDK source base.

Duties include engagements across multiple teams to resolve complex Java issues, analyze data, and provide detailed technical action plans to customers, internal groups, and Java developers. Measure, analyze, and optimize the performance of Java features. Demonstrate leadership by contributing information individually and as a team member. Provide technical direction and mentoring to engineers.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the effective resolution of critical technical engagements

  • Operate efficiently in a demanding environment, maintain composure, demonstrate leadership, and communicate in an exemplary manner

  • Report and communicate status to stakeholders in a timely and consistent manner

  • Engage in technical collaborations with specialists

  • Document detailed and clear technical analysis and recommendations

  • Lead improvements in processes, tools, and programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Java based development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degrees.

  • Significant experience in issue identification and troubleshooting the JDK

  • Significant API knowledge, experience with developing enterprise applications

  • Skilled in programing languages including Java, C/C++.

  • Solid English verbal and written communication skills; ability to present represents complex ideas and topics to multiple audiences.
