Coyote Creek Mining Company, LLC Accountant in Zap, North Dakota

**Summary: Responsible for assisting Accounting with the general accounting function of Coyote Creek Mine, including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, financial statements, and costing reports. Perform duties relating to the development and issuance of purchase orders to suppliers and the subsequent processing of supplier invoices to Accounting for payment in accordance with established practices, procedures and policies.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for assisting in the preparation of Coyote Creek Mines financial statements and cost reports on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Review and input expense reports, time cards, and vouchers for payment.
  • Prepare and input journal entries into the general accounting system.
  • Analyze general ledger account activity and supply requested information.
  • Prepare schedules for financial audits, both internal and external.
  • Assist with cash management functions.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual budget.
  • Fixed asset inventory maintenance.
  • Process supplier invoices to include obtaining required approvals and entering data.
  • Communicate with suppliers and mine site staff regarding discrepancies or invoice payment requests.
  • Generate the reports necessary to resolve or expedite past due purchase orders and payments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A thorough understanding of accounting principles and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accurate and detail oriented.

Education and Experience:

A minimum two-year accounting or business degree plus several years of purchasing or accounting related work exp
