The opportunity

The Senior Manager, Microsoft 365 Operations is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and management of Microsoft 365 services within the organization. This role includes managing evergreen updates and serving as a change manager to ensure seamless transitions and adoption of new features and security enhancements.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Lead the evergreen update process for Microsoft 365 applications, ensuring that all services are current with the latest updates.

  • Act as a change manager, coordinating with various departments to facilitate smooth transitions during updates and changes.

  • Develop strategic plans for the deployment and management of Microsoft 365 services, aligning with organizational goals and IT policies.

  • Monitor update rollouts, assess their impact on the organization, and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Establish and maintain communication channels with stakeholders to provide updates on Microsoft 365 operations and changes.

  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards during the update process.

  • Mentor and guide the Microsoft 365 operations team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of evergreen updates and change management activities.

Your experience and qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Microsoft 365 administration and operations.

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing large-scale IT projects and teams.

  • Strong understanding of change management principles and practices.

  • Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to manage risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and update management.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Advanced certifications in Microsoft 365 or related fields. - preferred

  • Prior experience as a change manager in a technology-focused organization. - preferred
