As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.

FieldCore is looking for engaged and driven individuals with a passion for engineering to enroll in our Early Careers Mechanical Engineering Program in Croatia.

Let’s Talk about the Role

You will start by being enrolled in FieldCore’s Early Careers Program (ECP). While in the ECP, you will develop in-depth technical expertise, lean thinking and leadership skills. This is a unique opportunity to go through our in-person and online training curriculum as well as learning from experienced Mechanical Technicians with on-the-job training.

You will gain hands on experience and grow your career whilst traveling the world to provide power to communities. Upon successful graduation from the Early Careers Program , you will be eligible for a Qualified Mechanical Technician .

During the program you will work on site as a Mechanical Assistant , under direct supervision of your assigned mentor, you will safely accomplish the installation, maintenance and repair of the heavy rotating machinery used mainly in power generation applications. You will receive direction onsite from Lead or Sr. Turbine Mechanics and work closely with FieldCore’s Skilled Craft Labour Supervisors, EHS personnel, and the Operations Department to achieve your goals.

Special Role Requirements:

  • Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.

  • Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.

  • Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.

Skills for Success

You will bring a high level of professionalism as well a strong technical competence and passion for engineering. You should also have:

  • Graduated from high school with a qualificationin a Science, Technical, Engineering or Maths subject

  • A strong ownership and work ethic.

  • A desire to learn and problem solve.

  • A positive can-do attitude with the ability to communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Basic English language skills.
