Are you a CNC Swiss Machinist? The ideal candidate will have experience with STAR Swiss machines (10mm, 12mm, 20mm, and 38mm), along with Haas, Mazak, Fadal, Citizen, Tsugami, and Mori Seiki equipment. Swiss machine expertise is highly preferred, with experience in 5-axis operations. Proficiency in reading G and M codes is required, with minor code adjustments (speeds and feeds) as needed. Familiarity with live tooling is essential, as it is involved in most part production.

Summary:

Performing manufacturing operations on metal or plastic materials, ensuring that machines are set up correctly to produce parts that meet quality standards per provided specifications, and ensuring customer delivery commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operation of equipment; performs equipment start-up procedures, daily equipment maintenance procedures, and equipment operations. Understands material requirements/types and performs product handling procedures.

  2. Ensures that the parts produced comply with all quality requirements by verifying conformance with quality plans (Including, but not limited to, visual inspection techniques, microscopes, micrometers, automated measuring instruments, pin gages, drop gages, and concentricity gages).

  3. Machine set-ups: supports the machine conversion process per required production schedule based on skill level.

  4. Collaborates with MQE team to ensure machine programs meet quality and performance objectives.

  5. Communicates or executes equipment adjustments to correct any deviations observed in the parts produced from the Manufacturing Control Plan based on skill level.

  6. Understands the fundamentals of the quality management system. Reads and interprets drawings. Understands defect types, sorting, and lot control procedures.

  7. Performs work in accordance with traveler and work instructions.

  8. Performs technical end-of-shift duties, end-of-job, and housekeeping procedures.

  9. Observes safety policies including personal protective equipment requirements and hazardous/emergency procedures.

  10. Demonstrates a strong commitment to being punctual and reliable.

  11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  12. Good attendance and punctuality are essential components of solid employee performance and are measured by objective standards.

  13. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  14. Interprets instructions both written and oral. Works in a team environment
