Job Summary: Maxar is seeking talented mid-level software engineers to join our team that supports U.S. defense and intelligence community partners. We are developing the next generation of signal and image processing software, building on our 75+ year history on the cutting edge in the radar and electro-optical fields. These teams have received numerous patents and developed revolutionary and exquisite technologies throughout our history and continuing with our current work.

By joining our team, you will be part of teams building innovative software solutions using mathematical solutions to support users in the defense and intelligence communities. Your strong technical skills and passion for innovation will be instrumental in supporting our customers and their missions to keep us safe.

What You'll Do:

Take algorithm definitions and prototypes and convert them into robust software applications that run efficiently on large images and are ready for operational environments. Collaborate with radar/electro-optical and research scientist experts to solve issues and iterate to improve image product quality.

Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software applications using modern programming languages and technologies. Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.

Build and improve on automated test and verification software and tools.

Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology fields. (5 years of professional experience in lieu of degree)

5 years relevant work experience.

Programming skills in C++, Python, and/or JAVA.

Experience developing in a Linux environment.

Version control experience in Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket).
