Prepares social, educational, and communication based instructional lessons and materials for classroom and community-based experiences. Collects, records, evaluates, and summarizes daily, monthly, and quarterly treatment data reports. Works collaboratively with staff, therapists, parents, and students. Position Information Assists in the provision of evidence-based instruction to special needs students with autism. Prepares instructional lessons and materials for classroom and community-based activities. Participates in evaluations and assessments of children with autism enrolled in the programs. Maintains proper order and discipline in the classroom. Assists in supervising outings. Attends parent programs and staff meetings. Assists with public relations events sponsored by the Rich Center for Autism. Other Functions and Responsibilities: Assists with training new hires. Performs other related duties as assigned. Equipment Operated: Computer and all other 5tandard office equipment. Work Schedule: The Rich Center Academic Calendar recognize5 209 working days, inclusive of academic program days, in-service/professional development days, and parent-teacher conference days. The Rich Center Academic Calendar recognizes there is no academic programming and that the Center is closed on university designated legal holidays. Supervision Exercised: May supervisor student employees. Reports to: Classroom Supervisor Qualifications and Competencies Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of: evidence-based instruction to special needs students with autism. Skill in: oral and written communication. Ability to: work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels and to interact appropriately with special needs children. Minimum Qualifications: At least a bachelor's degree. Preferred Qualifications: At least a bachelor's degree in special education, early childhood education, or a related field.
