Universal Health Services INPATIENT SOCIAL WORKER (MA/MSW) in YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio

Responsibilities

Licensed Social Worker/Counselor provides services to patients and families acting as a liaison between treatment team, physicians, referral sources, community agencies, outside therapists, and third-party reviewers. The Licensed Social Worker/Counselor provides individual, family, multi-family and group therapy per program needs. This individual completes assessments and contributes to the master treatment plan. This individual ensures that discharge planning is complete and contributes to discharge summaries as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.

Licensure : Must at minimum be licensed in Ohio as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Experience: Previous work experience in a mental healthcare facility is highly preferred but not required.

Skills/Traits: Ability to communicate information in a positive manner with all levels of people, and age groups. Must be able to maintain professionalism in dealing with referral sources within the community, patients, families, and staff members. Able to maintain confidentially. Should possess strong verbal and written skills. Must be organized and possess strong administrative and time management skills.
