KIRALY TOOL & DIE, INC. CNC Machinist in Youngstown, Ohio

Kiraly Tool and Die, Inc. has immediate openings for machinists to operate the following machines:

  • Surface grinders and ID/OD grinders.
  • Wire EDM and sinker EDM.
  • CNC lathes, CNC vertical mills (3-axis and 4-axis), CNC horizontal mills.
  • Horizontal and vertical band saws, and drill presses.

This is a full time, day shift position. This is low volume, custom machine work that may or may not repeat. We have very specific requirements for this position so please read the entire job description below before applying. We offer the area's most competitive wages, benefits, and a modern machining environment. Wages typically range from $20.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on your specific experience. We have an outstanding customer base desiring to send us more business.

Skill Set:

  • Must be able to interpret mechanical drawings, perform own set-ups, program and machine a variety of materials using modern cutting tools, late model CNC and manual machinery
  • Must be capable of holding close and general tolerances, and meet surface finish requirements per drawing specifications
  • Must be knowledgeable of speeds and feed rates for machining a variety of materials
  • Must have basic machinist tools, steel toe work shoes, safety glasses and possess an impeccable work ethic
  • Strong math skills are a necessity
  • Must be punctual with respect to starting, break and lunch times
  • Must be able to maintain a reasonable daily pace. You will be on your feet, not sitting.
  • Must be able to communicate with coworkers clearly and respectfully
  • Must be career orientated and appreciate the value of making high quality products

Programming training that is specific to our conversational CNC machinery will be provided. We understand that your programming experience may vary, and a reasonable ramping-up period is to be expected. Our general machine work is typically small scale, custom parts for a variety of industries. We design and manufacture stamping dies and all types of custom jigs and fixtures. Most of what we machine can be held in your hands or moved with our die carts or small jib cranes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of (5) years machining or tool and die experience is preferred but not required
  • A journeyman's certificate is not required. We do offer the apprenticeship program.
  • WorkKeys certification is preferred, and NIMS credentials are a plus
  • We are a drug-free, smoking-free facility
  • WorkKeys testing and drug testing (both provided locally) will be mandatory prior to hiring
  • There is a 30-day probationary period

Important Notes:

  • We are not a production shop. Most work is custom or repeats semi-annually.
  • You will not be "stuck" at one machine for entire career, unless that is your desire
  • Whenever possible, you will be multi-tasking...not watching a single machine operate
  • There is no wage tier system or "cap" on wage currently. You control your ability to increase your wage
  • There is opportunity for growth into other positions when available

Benefits:

Health insurance contribution is 25% of monthly premium, deducted in (2) equal payments before taxes. Health insurance begins after 30-day probationary period.

(6) paid holidays per year.

(1) week paid vacation after (1) year of full-time employment, (2) weeks after (5) years, and (3) weeks after (10) years.

401k plan with 100% company-match up to 3% of employee contribution.

We offer overtime when it is available. Maximum overtime is (55) hours per week,
