Aerotek Casting Operator in Youngstown, Ohio

Description:

Casting Operator: 1st Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm (Monday-Thursday) 2nd Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am (Monday Thursday)

• Organization and housekeeping of the casting area, cleaning and basic maintenance of related equipment • Completes pre-cast setup to the requirements of the casting operation • Inspects casting setup for correctness and to ensure successful cast • Collects metal samples during casting and delivers them for quality testing • Removes, replaces and setup drain pans for continuous operation • Operates remote control crane as required • Performs minor repairs and cleaning of tooling • Services troughing, molds and additional equipment as necessary pre and post cast • Monitor cast for any defects and notify supervisor if necessary • Completes reports and logs as necessary • Notifies Control Room Operator and or Supervisor of any shortages in consumables • Notifies Control Room Operator and or Supervisor of any potential concerns or issues in production
