Canduct Group Holdings US Buyer/Planner in Youngstown, Ohio

Purchase/ plan materials to support production, implement continuous improvement actions to improve material control and cost-effective management of inventory.

Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

Works With: Various Office, Operations Team, Supply Chain Team

Supervises: None

Responsibilities.

  1. Schedule and coordinate delivery of materials required for production -- expedite as required.
  2. Forecast/ analyze data to determine future order requirements and place orders/ create schedules within required lead times.
  3. Provide leadership to the operations and material handling/ warehouse team to ensure compliance with inventory control processes.
  4. Create and analyze reports for key metrics -- identify opportunities for improvement i.e. days of inventory, inventory levels, purchasing levels, inventory accuracy.
  5. Order plant supplies/ consumables, MRO materials and schedule deliveries to prevent impact to production -- monitor min/ max levels.
  6. Monitor and perform system transactions to support inventory accuracy in Visual.
  7. Plan and execute  monthly/ year-end inventory counts.
  8. Implement continuous improvement projects to reduce inventory levels and improve material flow and usage.
  9. Complete regular schedule of supplier evaluations and coordinate supplier onboarding process.
