Software Developer, IBM Corporation, Yorktown Heights, NY (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted): Identify, gather, prioritize, and translate development requirements into actions for an engineering team. Realize user requirements for the quantum infrastructure platform, which serves as the foundation for the deployment of internal quantum services through a variety of cloud channels. Focus on guiding the team to deliver the most relevant developer value in the form of quantum infrastructure platform features for internal developers. Works with the engineering lead developing technical vision and roadmap. Defines and reviews technical metrics to ensure the quality of the infrastructure. Use the knowledge of internet, cloud, and web technologies, as well as networking, and industrial power delivery. Works with researchers to assist with automation and tooling, demonstrate full-stack development experience, and understand development cycle, developer communities, developer motivations, and technical advocacy. Works with agile methodologies. Works with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and clients. Integrate/interact with internal and external user communities. Utilize: Backend software development, DevOps & IT Operations, Cloud computing technologies, Rapid prototyping of applications, Web and mobile software development, and Artificial Intelligence. Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Engineering or related (employer will accept Associates degree plus two (2) years of IT experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree) and two (2) years of experience as a Senior Backend Developer, Engineer, Software Developer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing Backend software development, DevOps & IT Operations, Cloud computing technologies, Rapid prototyping of applications, Web and mobile software development, and Artificial Intelligence. $260,114.40 - $289,200.00 per year.
