Pengate Handling Systems and Arbor Material Handling joined forces in November 2020 to form Arbor/Pengate. Together, we are a powerhouse material handling company that provides various warehousing solutions throughout the Northeast United States. We provide top-of-the-line equipment, service, consultation, parts, and training programs to businesses of all sizes throughout PA and NY with over 450+ teammates across these facilities.

We are searching for a Project Manager, Systems & Automation to join our York, PA team who would be responsible for all project management activities supporting the Systems and Automation solutions portfolio. The position is responsible for coordinating installations which include but not limited to, Rack, Conveyor, Automated Storage Systems & Storage products. Coordination requires constant contact with the Customer, Vendors, Sales Coordinators, and Account Managers. Coordinate internal resources to provide pre and post sales service and support to our customers.

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

  • Work with and support sales and customer to ensure projects are completed in time and accurately.

  • Lead on job site during installation-project management.
  • Communicate with sales team, suppliers, customers, and end users.
  • Assure project documents and contracts are completed and signed to minimize our exposure and risk on projects.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

  • Manage project budget.

  • Effectively communicates relevant project information and status.
  • Develop relationships with existing suppliers and cultivate new relationships as it relates to Systems products.
  • Analyze facility planning/design objectives, understanding of product flow and movement.
  • Be proactive while on site looking for other opportunities for the enterprise.

  • Additional duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree with a focus on engineering or relevant field experience.
  • 2 years minimum previous experience of project management in construction trade

  • Previous experience may be substituted for formal training.

  • Pallet racking, conveyor or material handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use standard tools for identifying dimensions, angles, tolerances.
  • Computer design skills; AutoCAD or similar design software a plus.
