3rd Shift Maintenance Technician- Up to $32 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift differential depending on experience

The Sr Maintenance Technician maintains, installs and repairs facility equipment in accordance with OEM specifications and prescribed preventative maintenance schedules, conducts emergency repairs quickly to maintain production flow and quality standards using various hand tools, power equipment, technical manuals and blue prints.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates assigned equipment safely in accordance with company and OSHA safety programs and rules.
  • Performs work in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions.
  • Reports quality and production concerns to supervisor.
  • Conducts technician level preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Keeps work environment neat and clean.
  • Conducts technician level repairs, installations and upgrades on assigned equipment.
  • Diagnoses (Troubleshoots) electrical systems and controls.
  • Performs repairs using machine shop tools and practices.
  • Monitors facility systems and take necessary corrective action.
  • Assists with training and provide input to assist other team members and other department personnel.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical training and license preferred
  • 4+ years of previous maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Strong understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
