Voith US Inc. Project Manager II in York, Pennsylvania

Voith U.S. Inc. is seeking a Project Manager II (York, PA) to assist and support the Sales and Marketing teams to submit complex, proprietary, and original equipment bids. Satisfy project scope, including internal and external stakeholders. Orchestrate practices and outline all internal and external commitments for direction setting during the Offer-to-Order (OTO) phase of a project. Support the sales organization to ensure smooth transitional movement throughout the project from the OTO to Order-to-Cash (OTC) phase. Support proposal efforts and author the offers for projects assigned, which may consist of competitively bid modernization or new turbo projects. Ensure stakeholders are well-informed of project status through communicating technical, application, operational and organizational requirements. Monitor and report project fiscal activity, allowing for improvement of performance. Local telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week. 15% domestic travel and 5% international travel required.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and 5 years of project management experience. Must have experience with: Managing equipment such as Scharfenberg Couplers, Rail gearboxes, Rail cooling units, Rail wheel sets and rail powerpacks; Equipment used in the commercial vehicles industry, such as air compressors and automatic transmission systems; Equipment/software programs including TempoBox, and InStep; Performing various tasks including: cost calculations, statistical analysis and risk management calculations; Comprehending complex technical and commercial documents such as customer contracts, commercial clause by clause, technical clause by clause, and frame agreements; Conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) with customers on-site; Achieving product localization targets by coordinating design engineering, production engineering, procurement, and quality teams; Developing project risk matrices, implementing mitigation actions, and managing budgets; Creating Projects Warranty provision matrices; Using Microsoft Office software, including MS-Project; Using Microsoft Excel, including macro usage; Using Microsoft Navision as ERP system; SAP as ERP system; Using MS Teams and MS SharePoint for project collaboration and teamwork; and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. 15% domestic travel and 5% international travel required.
