Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) looking to have your weekends and holidays to yourself and your family/friends, and not be required to work? UPMC has the perfect position for you!

UPMC's Rodney Road Primary Care in York, PA is looking to add a Licensed Practical Nurse to their office. This is a large office, with 22 exam rooms and 8 providers, that will keep you moving and get to use your skills. The office culture is very warm and welcoming, a team first environment, with patient centered providers.

HOURS: Monday-Friday dayshift , 40-hour week only. Various shifts during office hours of; Monday 8am-9pm, Tuesday 7am-9pm, Wednesday 7am-9pm, Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 7am-5pm. NO WEEKENDS. NO MAJOR HOLIDAYS. NO ON-CALL

Purpose:

Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Room patients, assess patient's general condition, take vital signs and weight.

  • Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

  • Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.

  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.

  • Draw blood.

  • Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.

  • Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).

  • Comply with all policies and procedures.

  • Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.

  • Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.

  • One-year clinical experience preferred, but not required.

  • New LPN graduates welcome to apply

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

Clearances must be dated within 90 days

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

  • Act 33 with renewal

  • Act 34 with renewal

  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
