The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle Operations facility in York is our final assembly plant. Employees at York also perform a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing and painting and produce a wide range of current and replacement parts for all models. Join our team as a Lead Associate Retail Sales.

Job Summary Position exists to provide retail operations assistance and maintenance of the Employee Store. Works closely with Employee Store Management to ensure all retail operations are performed and communicated to pertinent stakeholders. Strive to achieve projected sales objectives through proper retail sales and customer service techniques. Provide customer service and retail assistance to Harley-Davidson Inc. employees and stakeholders maximizing selling opportunities. Assists with inventory control, payment procedures, peer collaboration, training, sales development, promotions and merchandising displays

Job Responsibilities Serve as primary Employee Store site contact under direction of Employee Store Management. Assist Employee Store Management with documentation of Employee Store sales data and inventory management via TALONes system. Strive to achieve projected sales objectives through self/staff training of proper retail sales and customer service techniques. Provide customer service and retail assistance to Harley-Davidson Inc. employees and stakeholders maximizing selling opportunities.

Areas of Focus: Customer Relations Lead daily customer service functions of the store to include: maintaining inventory on the sales floor, setting attractive displays, answering employee and stakeholder questions, and processing special orders. Maintain continuous communication of store policies, procedures and practices and in-store promotions among internal stakeholders by providing information to Employee Store Management for e-mail, electronic communications, bulletin boards and in-store postings. Strive to achieve projected sales objectives through proper retail sales and customer service techniques. Provide customer service and retail assistance to Harley-Davidson Inc. employees and stakeholders maximizing selling opportunities. Inventory & Store Maintenance Responsible for check-in, pricing, stocking and storage of inventory, including the physical inventory process. Maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness for all store areas including sales floor, fitting room, cash wrap, desk/work areas and storeroom. Provide customer feedback to Employee Store Management to assist with inventory purchase decisions. Update Employee Store Management on trends, concerns, and issues. Maintain all products displayed in the store on a daily basis, following Harley-Davidson merchandising standards. Sales Functions & Accounting Procedures Responsible for accurate nightly, weekly, monthly closeout reports and paperwork. Provide necessary reports reflecting sales data and inventory management to Employee Stores Management. Monitor merchandise for close out items, following the Employee Store markdown procedures. Assist merchandise and warranty returns to suppliers within limited time period. Responsible for accurate ringing of sales for customer purchases. Leadership & Peer Collaboration Flexible to provide assistance with other Harley-Davidson Employee Stores via phone or Teams. Initiate effort for a cohesive team environment Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities.

Education Requirements Degree Not Required

Education Specifications High school diploma or GED/HSED is required (Must be 18 years or older)

Experience Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Three to five years of retail, inventory and merchandising experience or knowledge is preferred. Familiarity with Harley-Davidson product lines is a plus. Physical activity/lifting of merchandise and fixtures involved. This position is for our York Employee Store. Open hours of operation are:

  • Tuesdays: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Wednesdays: 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Thursdays: 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM
