Ethos Veterinary Health Emergency Licensed Veterinary Technician in Yonkers, New York

Are you a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) looking to join a team where your skills and passion for animal care will be celebrated? Look no further than Animal Specialty Center (ASC) (https://www.animalspecialtycenter.com/) , where we're on a mission to provide exceptional care that keeps owners and their beloved pets together for as long as possible.

We are looking to add an LVT to our talented Emergency department!

Schedule:

  • Three 12-hour shifts

  • Days and Overnights Available!

  • Days: 8a – 8p

  • Overnights: 8p – 8a (shift differential)

  • Schedule would NOT be a combination of days and overnights unless requested.

     Compensation:

  • $28 - $35 pending skills assessment leveling

  • Shift Differential

  • M-TH Overnights: Base + $4

  • F-Su Overnight: Base + $6

  • Sa/Su Days: Base + $4

    Common Skills used within ER as an LVT:

  • Venipuncture & IV catheter placement

  • Triage & Assess patients/obtain vitals.

  • Critical thinking

  • Providing nursing care/monitoring to hospitalized patients.

  • Anesthesia, Surgery prep, Patient recovery

  • Running in-house lab testing & use of Cubex

  • Filling prescriptions/Dispensing oral and iv medications

  • Drug administration. 

  • Radiographs

  • Provide client education!

  • ECG monitoring

  • Advanced CPR

  • RECOVER certification provided for all employees.

    Advanced skills include (but are not limited to):

  • Central lines

  • Placing urinary catheters

  • Placing nasogastric tubes

  • Placing nasal cannulas

  • Maintaining indwelling tubes (chest tube, feeding tube)

  • Blood transfusions
