Nvidia Senior Video Compression Architect in Yokneam, Israel

Israel MMPLEX Group is an idiosyncratic group of people that seed the technology for advanced and unique technologies such as Video engines, streaming, Time synchronization, and more. The group's responsibility is to research, invent, set the technological roadmap, and define the Algorithm and Architecture to make it a product.

We are looking for a passionate Architect who loves challenges to join our Video/Multimedia Architecture team. The Individual chosen for this position will have the opportunity to take an active part in researching and developing state-of-the-art Video Compression and Video Pre/Post Processing Algorithms and Architecture aimed to be deployed into NVIDIA’s world-class consumer and data center products.

What will you be doing:

  • Master our Video Algorithms and Architecture

  • Design new algorithms to tackle new and existing problems

  • Research and evaluate algorithms currently used in related applications

  • Participate in research and development of new video codec tools

  • Design and implement video compression algorithms to improve quality/performance

What we need to see:

  • M.Sc. or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from a leading university, with a good GPA

  • Passion for problem-solving and Algorithms research and development

  • 8+ years of Proven experience in algorithm development in 2 or more of the following domains: Image processing, Signal processing, Computer vision, Deep learning, and information theory.

  • Communication skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with Video Compression, Computer vision, Python, and simulation tools

  • Solid understanding of one of the most popular Artificial Intelligence development frameworks (e.g Tensorflow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.)

  • 8+ years of proven experience in the industry, including defining HW blocks, with a full cycle point of view

  • Experience in the chip design process and flow of work from idea to SI
