Description Medication Technician-Assisted Living Type: Full-Time Shift: Days/Swing, Swing, 2-10pm: Monday/Tuesday, Days, 6am-2pm: Friday/Saturday/Sunday Wage: $18-20/hour DOE Location: Avamere at Yakima - 3710 Kern Road, Yakima, WA 98902 The primary purpose of this position is to provide each resident with routine daily health services and medication needs. Responsibilities: Administer medications ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the DHS and according to current policies, procedures, and practices Provide care for residents and assist with updating service plans. Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly and provide first aid assistance Assist with daily living activities (i.e., bathing, dressing, and eating) Provide support with residents to caregivers as needed Document and communicate resident changes and complete all reports in a timely manner Maintain confidentiality of all resident care in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Qualifications: High-School diploma or equivalent Minimum of one-year of experience in a healthcare setting CMA certification is preferred Must have either HCA or CNA license Must have or obtain (within 30-days of employment) First Aid & CPR Certification Must obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment Knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with elders Ability to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination preferred, but not required Employee Perks: Tuition assistance Access up to 50% of your net earned income before payday Mentorship opportunities Career Development Employee assistance program featuring counseling services, financial coaching, free legal services, and more Paid time off/sick leave (rolls over annually) 401K retirement plan with employer match Comprehensive benefits package with medical coverage, voluntary dental, vision, and life insurance, short-term disability, and AD&D coverage At Avamere Communities, we love to celebrate our diverse group of hardworking employees.
