ECC Intern - Environmental Remediation in Yakima, Washington

Description ECC is seeking Environmental Interns in the Yakima, WA area to join our Environmental Remediation group.The position may consist of on-site training at one of our Pacific Northwest project locations and then may support our projects remotely depending on the specific project and location. Assistance will be provided to non-local hires while working on-site at our ECC office or project locations. Work may include assisting with: support groundwater monitoring and soil sampling activities participate with sampling, preservation, shipping and chain-of-custody techniques on environmental projects assist with chemical data validation assist with work plans such as sampling plans, radiological services, Quality control plans, health & Safety plans, etc. Requirements Ability to communicate in written and verbal formats Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Education- This position requires a high school diploma and must becurrently enrolled as a second, third, or fourth year student in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor's degree in an Environmental, Science or Engineering discipline. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with groundwater sampling techniques HAZWOPER 40-hr preferred, but can be provided if needed ECC targeted base pay-rate for this position is $17 to $20 hourly.
