Overview:

We currently have career opportunities for a DSSO in Yakima Valley. This position will provide a safe and secure environment for local schools. This is a great career opportunity if you enjoy working with children and are looking for local schools and stability. You will receive excellent hands on training with our National Certified Training Instructors to include:

• Defensive Tactics

• OC Foam

• Use of Restraints

• AVADE

• Taser and Firearms

Job Skills / Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Serves as a visible and active security officer on campus dealing with the prevention and resolution-related behavior/social concerns.

• Conducts routine patrols of assigned facilities to include buildings and parking lots. Operates system equipment to include alarm systems and surveillance equipment.

• Counsels individual students in relation to the student’s ability to function effectively in the educational environment

• Coordinates security for crowd and vehicle control at extra-curricular activities and special events

• Assists other law enforcement agencies with incidents involving local criminal activity that may impact student or site safety

• Maintains paperwork related to activities that may include police reports, daily activity logs and incident reports.

• Additional duties as assigned

You Provide:

• Must have prior Law Enforcement or Military background

• Genuine desire and interest in the security industry

• Ability to stand 100% of shift and meet the physical requirements of the job

• Reliable transportation

• Basic computer skills to include word and outlook

• Great communication/writing skills

• Ability to obtain a Washington State Armed Security License (must not have any felonies or misdemeanors

• DRIVERS LICENSE

• Pass pre-employment drug testing and background check

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality

• Must be able to provide 3 professional references

• Starting Wage will be $19-$22 hr based on experience and potential

  • Spanish/English Bilingual is a plus

    Education Requirements (Any)

    High School Diploma GED

    Certification Requirements (All)

    Valid State Drivers License
