People for People is hiring a full-time Administrative and Human Resources Assistant for our Non-Profit organization located in Yakima, WA. Summary:  The Administrative and Human Resources Assistant performs under the direction of the Executive Assistant with approximately fifty percent of functional duties under the coaching and guidance of the Human Resources Manager.  Duties will be performed in accordance with the guidelines and policies of the company and local, state, and federal laws.  This position is responsible for clerical support of management staff and the Human Resources department.  The job requires the ability to follow instructions and apply acquired knowledge in responding to inquiries and requests.  Attention to detail is critical.  Continuous feedback and follow through is paramount to the success of this position.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable education and two years' experience including administrative and/or executive-level assistance.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully completing and passing a Pre-employment Drug Screen, a Washington State Patrol Background Check and/or National Background Check, Reference Checks, and all other required documentation.
  • Some travel to regional offices may be required on an as-needed basis.

     

Preferred:

  • Two years' experience with Human Resources, FTA regulations, and HR Database Programs preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

     

Starting Wage:  $20.26/Hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.
