What are my responsibilities?

  • Clear understanding of SMO CHN strategy, effectively implementation and fulfillment of SMO CN overall targets and strategic goals.

  • SSCX business responsibility (profit and loss) for economic success to attain the established objectives.

  • Deliver the highest value to customers: high quality, fast delivery, and good service

  • Continuously drive productivity improvement and cost down by all technical and managerial measures.

  • Continually compares SSCX target and actual result to establish objectives and appropriate control measures and to reliably forecast and ensure the course of SSCX business. Risk management assesses possible unexpected events & in projects, and to initiate prevention measures.

  • Lead and drive lean & digitalization transformation in factory, to become the forerunner of digitalization.

  • Develops, adapt, and implement optimal organizational forms, procedures, and processes to ensure the efficient use of resources.

  • Optimal use of all resources, selection of sales channels, ensures contract are fulfilled to best meet customer requirement and provide added value.

  • Works closely with SMO China BUs and other functions/teams to react fast to market/customer demand.

  • Excellent employee management including attract, develop, and retain talents for sustainable success of the company.

  • Communicates openly and transparently with JV Partner, establish good relationship, and gain a high level of trust.

  • Cooperates with local government to win their support and fulfill Siemens’ social responsibility.

  • Maintains a proper setup and organization in his/her area of responsibility to be able to carry out the assigned responsibilities.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Experienced manager in China (preferably in an OC/JV), with complex project and/or manufacturing experiences. Solid rail industry experience and rail industry know-how is preferred.

  • At least 10 years management experience to an organization/business with total HC of approx. 300 employees.

  • High level of social and leadership skills. Leadership responsibility of organizations of different functions/departments

  • Business result orientation

  • Innovative Orientation

  • Advanced English language skills
