Job Description

Behavior Consultant - ABA is needed for full-time employment.

The Behavior Consultant - ABA will be required to:

  • design and direct the implementation of a behavior modification intervention plan which is individualized to each child.
  • work with the treatment team while maintaining some direct contact with the child and family.
  • provide assessments, program designs, and monitoring of treatment goals.
  • provide clinical documentation on treatment plan goals and behavioral progress.
  • provide supervision to Behavioral Health Technicians.

Qualifications and Skills

Be licensed as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have one of the following:

  • A certification as a BCABA or other undergraduate-level certification in behavior analysis.
  • A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 12 credits in ABA.
  • A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA services under the supervision of a professional with a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis.

Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist and have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA approved by the Department or provided by a continuing education provider approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

  • All candidates must undergo and pass Child Abuse, Criminal History background checks, FBI fingerprinting, and sex offender clearance.
