Day in the Life of a Senior DevOps Engineer

You will work as part of an international, diverse, cross-functional, and autonomous team capable of handling the full life cycle of their product and services. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on in developing multitenant SaaS applications using the latest technologies as well as provide subject-matter expertise and mentorship to other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Own the cloud infrastructure and resources with attention to cost and resilience.

  • Lead initiatives to improve the monitoring and observability of platform, products, and cost.

  • On-call support for incident management and disaster recovery.

  • Lead the implementation and adoption of automation solutions for build, test, and deployment.

  • Partner with the Engineering teams to improve our continuous integration and testing system.

  • Lead initiatives and improvements to the tools and in-house frameworks.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in a DevOps role

  • Proficient in managing infrastructure with cloud providers, preferably AWS.

  • Proficient with declarative infrastructure, configuration, and continuous delivery as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

  • Proficient in Windows administration.

  • Experience evangelizing DevOps' best practices to Engineering teams.

  • Experience in designing systems for High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Performance, Efficiency, and Security.

  • Experience programming in a programming language like Python or shell.

  • Proficient in Continuous integration and delivery best practices.
