Serco Stock Control System / Business Systems Analyst in Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio

Position Description

Serco supports the Air Force Life-Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)/GBS (in logistics readiness) SME position supports the D035 Stock Control System (SCS) program, in a hybrid office environment. This position is responsible for supporting the process of migrating several mainframe-based systems to the Cloud. This will involve extensive communication with interfacing systems/organizations i.e. FMS, SMAS, SAMIS, DFAS, ESCAPE, FLITES, and DLA.

You will be part of a large team of SMEs, engineers, cybersecurity personnel, compliance SMEs and others that works closely with the customer/users to maintain and deliver quality systems and support. The team has been recognized by the Air Force team members for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program. This is a hybrid position.

This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer an active NACI clearance.

In this role, you will:

  • Interact with the Stock Control System (SCS) Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and the support contractor to assist them with the migration of the Stock Control System from the current mainframe environment to the Cloud. This includes the testing of the migrated software to verify that the conversion from mainframe code to JAVA has been successful.

  • Assist in the development of training materials to be used for training the multitude of users of the SCS modules once the newly developed software has been totally delivered to the SCS program office.

  • Attending various meetings and conferences as required to accomplish the above tasks and as directed by the Program Managers.

  • Additional duties include responding to Program Manager requests for analysis of system transactions and processing rejects.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer an active NACI clearance .

  • High School Diploma

  • Willingness and ability to be trained to review and understand application source code written in any of the following – JAVA, COBOL, CA-IDEAL, or C++.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Good communication skills

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years of equivalent experience in an Air Force or DOD project support environment

  • Proven ability to function in a team environment
