The handyman provides a variety of services to assist in the care of a property in preparation for it to be rented and maintained in an ongoing basis. Services may range from appliance repair and removal, carpentry, drywall, electrical, flooring, kitchen and bath remodeling, painting, plumbing, pressure washing, windows and doors. The handyman makes repairs in a timely fashion within budget. The handyman may also identify potential issues with the property. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Must be able to proactively identify potential issues with the property that could impact the property's value. Able to work independently with little to no supervision. Can handle projects at multiple properties. Maintains inventory of commonly used products and equipment. Ability to address issues with appliance repair and removal, carpentry, drywall, electrical, flooring, kitchen and bath remodeling, painting, plumbing, pressure washing, windows and doors. Prioritizes and documents repairs per policy and standard operating procedure Ability operate a motor vehicle. Ability to move and ascend/descend areas within the property. Ability to position self in small spaces, including attics, basements and other difficult to reach areas of a home. Ability to effectively communicate with other employees both in person, written and via electronic channels. Must be able to recognize aspects of the home associated with the homes condition. Candidates must have your own tools. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities Competencies: Working knowledge and ability to repair issues with: carpentry, drywall, basic electrical, flooring, kitchen and bath remodeling, painting, basic plumbing, pressure washing, roofing and windows and doors. Must be on time and at a specified residential location as assigned. Valid, current, unencumbered driver's license. Good driving record with no major violations. Attention to detail. Education and Experience: Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience in a similar environment. Experience preferred: Minimum 2 years of experience as a general handyman focusing on residential real estate. Basic computer skills. Experience in Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.
