Wyoming Sugar Company Instrument Technician I or II in Worland, Wyoming

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of Worland, WY! Wyoming Sugar Company has been processing and manufacturing sugar beets since 1917. With this opportunity, you will be responsible for the instrumentation throughout the facility, ensure quality and quantity of products, while meeting of company standards of excellence. Reports to Facility Manager.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of automatic valves and pneumatic controls.
  • Knowledge of the calibration of instruments
  • Knowledge of PLCs.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC5/SLC500/1400/110 preferred.
  • Understand digital and analog input/outputs of PLCs.
  • Knowledge of 4-20 ma transmitters, such as level, temperature, flow, pressure, DP, density, etc.
  • Experience with pneumatic control 3-15 PSI positioners.
  • Electrical and/or electronics background helpful as well.
  • Ensure efforts in planning and monitoring plant maintenance.
  • Maintaining electrical instruments, understanding 480volt-3 phase power motor control systems, PLC's and interlocks.
  • Trouble shooting and repairing electrical equipment, reading electrical blueprints, running conduit and pulling wire.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Adhere to all company policies and all safety, food safety, feed safety, and sanitation rules and programs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least three years experience in Instrumentation or similar position
  • Associate degree or higher preferred

Salary: From $21.48 per hour. DOE
