  • Handle the design, simulation, and optimization of electric motors (eMotors).
  • Evaluate and select electric machine architectures and topologies on thermal and electromagnetic characteristics.
  • Design eMotors based on targeted cost and manufacturing processes.
  • Apply electromagnetic physics principles to eMotor design.
  • Model vibration characteristics of motors.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of eMotor controls and measurements to simulate and correlate designs.
  • Communicate results and recommendations verbally and in reports.

*Your Qualifications* Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering related field and one (1) year of applicable experience.
  • Ability to learn and apply mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic principles to electric motor design.
  • Applicable engineering & physics knowledge.

Preferred:

  • Experience designing electric machines in an academic and/or professional setting.
  • Experience using Python and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience with f inite element analysis ( FEA) modelling software such as Ansys Maxwell, Ansys MotorCAD, JMAG, or FLUX.

*Our Offering*

  • Salary range: $75,000 - $120,000
  • Hiring Bonus: $500 after 90 days, $1000 after 180 days
