POWDR Wellness Activities Instructor Woodward PA Summer 2021 in Woodward, Pennsylvania

JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW Position: Wellness Activities Instructor Location: Woodward PA Job Status: Full Time - Seasonal JOB SUMMARY: As a Wellness Activities Instructor, responsibilities include; providing wellness activities such as yoga, meditation, journaling, coloring, gardening, etc for all campers. This position will create a schedule of wellness activities to work with the camper's sport schedule for their stay at Woodward week-long residential camp. Within this role there are varying degrees of processes in which must be understood and prioritized in order to successfully achieve the daily operations of this department. You should be knowledgeable in healthcare, wellness, and safety initiatives and programs. Must be willing to evolve and adapt with the needs of the business and adhere to and support all work protocols and guidelines regarding COVID-19. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Camper Supervision (Passionate People) * Maintain a positive learning environment for campers attending activities * Attend weekly meetings to discuss current issues and safety lists * Dynamic Programming * Ability to effectively manage children in a group setting * Develop and implement activities in a developmentally appropriate manner, meeting the individual physical, social, and emotional needs * Educate camp staff to acquire knowledge for behavior management techniques, etc * Help facilitate wellness across the entire camp * Support storytelling, social and content ideas for medical, health and wellness * Other duties as assigned. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, comfortable presenting and deploying new technologies.  * Creative and can conceptualize ideas, think "outside the box," and implement ideas.   * Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments to work as part of a team  BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS: * Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs. * Ability to work within confined spaces. * Must be able to maintain safety and equipment logs. * Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment. * Camp Attendance Requirements (June 6th - August 28th) * Minimum commitment of 4 weeks (12 weeks preferred) * Lodging & Food * Meals provided during shifts. * Must successfully-pass a background screening to ensure suitability of contact with minor children and the public, in accordance with Federal, state and local jurisdictions. * Work related references upon request.
