Cargill Sales Consultant - Pork (Open to Remote) in Woodstock, Ontario

Job Purpose and Impact

The Sales Consultant will focus on a few of the company's large or very complex customers within Southwestern, Ontario. In this role, you will handle critical nutritional products and services that require excellent client relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning.

This role offers a remote work opportunity within Southwestern, Ontario.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop a plan to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.

  • Build a business plan for each account.

  • Utilize our dealer network and technical services team resources to provide value added services to accounts.

  • Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning product, price and service strategies.

  • Support the sales team in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

  • Ability to travel within the territory up to 80%

  • Possess a valid Canadian full class 5 driver’s license in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to maintain and grow a book of business

  • Previous experience in swine production and nutrition/health product service sales

  • Prebuilt network within the pork industry

  • Previous experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
