Description

The Warehouse Coordinator will coordinate the activities and operations of the warehouse.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database.

  • Unloads and unpacks incoming shipments of raw materials and supplies.

  • Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.

  • Examines materials for damage, notes any damaged products and determines whether damaged materials should be returned.

  • Ensures accurate count when receiving and shipping.

  • Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse.

  • Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.

  • Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.

  • Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.

  • Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.

  • Operates forklift truck as needed.

  • Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.

  • Palletizes and stretch wraps outbound freight orders.

  • Assists with bulk inventories.

  • Helps maintain warehouse and keeps dock area cleared.

  • Assists with special projects as needed.

  • Complies with safety and GMP requirements.

  • Ensures the warehouse is clean and orderly.

  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

  • Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.

  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.

  • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.

    Additional Abilities:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Valid state motor vehicle license and forklift safety certificate required.

  • 2 4 years of work experience in a warehouse required.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
