This job opportunity is limited to qualified, available workers that are currently eligible to work in the United States, per federal regulation.

Job Description

Farmworker will participate in general duties associated with a commercial farming operation including but not limited to; planting, growing, harvesting and packing of various row crops. In addition, individual will comply with all safety, labor, and food safety requirements; maximize crop by best weeding and harvesting practices; perform work on and off tractors, that seed crops, transplant crops, spray crops, and cultivate fields; hand harvest crops, perform work moving and setting up irrigation pipes and attend all safety meetings. Crops: Vegetable row crops, herbs, and annuals. These crops listed may or may not be planted and employer is not limited to only these crops listed.

Specific Job Descriptions and Requirements: 1. Have a minimum of three verifiable months experience in hand harvesting vegetable row crops on a commercial farming operation. 2. Duties include manually seeding, planting, hand harvesting, packaging, hand weeding, hoeing, washing, cooling, and growing of row crop vegetables and annuals to meet production standards and procedures. 3. The work is under the general direction of a supervisor or employer and is subject to periodic review by the supervisors for results obtained, changes in work methods, and adherence to policies. 4. Maximize crop by best planting, harvest, weeding and growing practices. 5. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds continuously throughout the workday. 6. Work with crews that move and set up irrigation pipes. 7. Pull greenhouse inventory to fill orders. 8. Operate equipment used in agricultural production and field preparation such, as tractors, forklifts, pallet jacks, irrigation equipment, 4-wheelers, trucks, and other commonly used equipment in agriculture. 9. Operate vehicles to carry crops, supplies, farmworkers, and tools

Worker must possess 3 months of row crop experience. Verification of employment qualifications will require the applicant to provide the name, address and phone number for the employer where they gained the required experience. Said employer will be called, to determine whether the applicant did work and gain the required experience there. The applicant will be notified of the outcome of the reference check within 2 business days.
