Description A well-respected firm in the Real Estate & Property field is working with Robert Half to find a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience. Your talents will be used to prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, build budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and handle internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates should enjoy analytical tasks, challenges, and fast-paced environments. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Real Estate & Property field and is located in Woodland Hills, California. The person in this role will be well compensated and offered a benefits package and the opportunity for advancement.
Your responsibilities
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
Skilled with ERP systems
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Comprehensive knowledge of Corporate Accounting
Command of Consolidated Financial Statements
High attention to detail
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
