Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Manager- EPMO with our consumer finance lender firm client in their West Woodbury, NY location. This is a 6-month + contract and 100% remote position.

Summary:

  • The client is a consumer finance lender and servicer, and a people-centric, compliance-focused organization enabled by data and technology.
  • At the client, our mission is to provide customized and compliant servicing and asset management to our clients to produce their desired end-customer experience.
Responsibilities:
  • The Portfolio Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units.
  • Manage resources, schedules, and financials and adhere to PMO guidelines throughout the full project life cycle.
  • This also includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
  • The Portfolio Project Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for verifying that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.
  • Provide leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, and adhere to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Full project life cycle ownership:
    • Successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
    • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
    • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities.
    • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
    • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
    • Prepare estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project.
    • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes.
    • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chair the project management team meetings.
    • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership.
    • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
    • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices.
    • Manage project scope and changes.
    • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections, and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders.
    • Act as an internal quality control check for the project.
    • Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution.
    • Assist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration, or litigation, as needed.
    • Work with vendors and leadership to define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested goods and services.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or other related major is required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in program and project management required.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent required.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required. SAFE certifications are a plus
  • 1-3 years of experience in the financial industry & technology industry preferred.
  • Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal, and presentation), and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, and decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  • Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results.
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts, drafting and submitting budget proposals, and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs on time, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding the team accountable for performance.
  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, at all levels of management.
  • Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives, sponsors, team members, stakeholders, and peers.
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Projects, and ServiceNow.
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Experience working both independently and, in a team, -oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Flexible with the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to interact with multiple departments, locations, and companies within the CardWorks' organization, and with clients and third-party vendors, providing frequent updates to ensure accurate information flow.

Pay rate range: $58.00 - $67.00 hourly
