- Chart processing and review.
Audit / breakdown charts - remove excess paperwork
Process daily non-hospital DNRs.
Daily review of charts with unsigned orders.
Scan all consents.
Log all charts status.
- Coordinate provision of DME to the patient at their home.
Receive DME orders from RN.
Place all DME orders to vendor and confirm receipt.
Track delivered orders on cancelled referrals and arrange pick up.
- Referral Support.
Enter referral information into the computer.
Provide details to department to schedule.
Admit patients into Suncoast.
- Prepare and distribute admissions packets.
Prepare bags for couriers.
Assemble admissions packets.
- Assist with general clerical duties.
Filing, collating, mailings and maintenance of assigned office area.
Generate reports, participate in projects as requested or assigned.
Works with Referral/Call Center Manager and/or Director of Admissions to resolve problems/incidents.
Demonstrates and promotes respect for patients' rights.
Demonstrates awareness of and compliance with the Patient's Bill of Rights and the Patient Self Determination Act.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Assists in making reasonable accommodations for special groups, i.e., hearing, visually, physically, and/or mentally impaired.

Associate degree in business or equivalent experience, preferred.
Minimum of 1 year customer service experience.
Basic secretarial skills- typing, filing, computer, phone.
Ability to present a professional demeanor and communicate in a tone that is upbeat, clear, direct, natural, and under control, especially on the phone.
Knowledge, ability and understanding of the dying and death process in relationship to the patient and family.
Ability to work non-judgmentally with communities of many cultural, religious and socio-economic backgrounds and various lifestyles.
