Requirements

As a VP, New Business Development at Sago you will be responsible to drive growth by expanding the company’s customer base and entering new markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth of the company. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and a strong desire to succeed in a competitive market. For this role we are specifically looking for candidates with experience acquiring consulting, advertising, and PR clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In depth understanding of Sago products and services and how to customize these products for different business customer segments through a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements.

  • Identifies new sales opportunities and drives revenue by acquiring new clients/brands, expanding into new departments within existing account and/or reviving lapsed customers.

  • Identifies and builds strong relationships with influencers/decision makers within client organization to develop new business.

  • Achieves and/or exceeds quarterly revenue, and profit targets and lead indicator performance metrics.

  • Leads capabilities presentations and pitches to potential customers.

  • Develops insightful proposals and delivers strategic sales communications, consulting with clients on sample design and business issues.

  • Works closely with Sales leadership to ensure all account strategy is aligned with company goals and objectives.

  • Provides client feedback and industry input to improve current products and innovative client tools/products.

  • Delivers results that produce high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty vs. competition

  • Large focus in marketing and public relations clients

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with clients​.

  • Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions​.

  • Highly process-oriented, clear understanding of sales dashboards and activity levels needed​

  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills​

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities​

  • Proficient in analyzing sales data and market trends​.

  • May be a specialist and has a deep understanding of products & how they support client needs.
