The Aircraft Pricing Manager has responsibility for underwriting, analyzing, evaluating, and presenting aircraft transactions as well as reporting requirements for joint venture partnership and debt facilities. Will also be responsible for preparing investment memorandas for potential acquisitions.


  • Review requests for proposals (RFPs) received by the department and perform initial scorecard evaluations.

  • Analyze aircraft purchase opportunities based on cash flow projections, return on investment, and other key indicators of investment attractiveness.

  • Quantify economic status of aircraft at lease return as determined by betterment/detriments calculations or balance of maintenance reserve funds, and perform residual sensitivity analysis for different pricing scenarios.

  • Apply debt assumptions to analysis in order to calculate a levered return on a transaction.

  • Maintains expertise on each of the leased aircraft and its status, identifies upcoming maintenance and end of lease events, and serves as a resource and advisor to the investors regarding the assets, individually and collectively.

  • Maintains all cash flow analysis of aircraft on lease and provides reports based on timeline outlined by joint venture partnerships

  • Strong MS Excel skills to aggregate financial analysis of multi-aircraft portfolio acquisitions.

  • Perform ongoing portfolio analysis for refinancing, lease extensions, and sale scenarios

  • Analysis financial health and credit worthiness

  • Prepare deal approval write-ups detailing all factors related to the acquisition including analysis and evaluation of: aircraft type/fleet, market, lessee, credit, economics, and other.

  • Present and discuss with the executive management financial implications of proposed acquisitions both from JV perspective and AAR investment perspective.

  • Log and prioritize opportunities to ensure timely and accurate processing of business transactions.

  • Perform due diligence supporting in sales efforts for aircraft being marketing for sale or lease by the AAR Aircraft Sales and Leasing group.

  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in finance or economics; plus three years related investment underwriting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong excel modeling skills
