Position Title: Manager, Marble Shop

Pay Range: $85,000.00 to $125,000.00

POSITION PURPOSE

Manages the overall operation of the Marble Shop, including but not limited to safety, information and material flow, cost control, revenue management, quality control, deliveries, scheduling, equipment, and personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITES

  • Demonstrated supervisory and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness.

  • Observes all safety procedures, corrects potentially unsafe conditions and uses equipment and materials properly.

  • Assist internal and external clients.

  • Receive and inventory all material received at the shop and verify the quality.

  • Perform material quantity checks throughout the course of a project to ensure the proper amount of material is available.

  • Notify Project Managers throughout the fabrication from start to completion of project.

  • Logically schedule all work orders based on equipment capacity and modify crew makeup to meet field installation requirements.

  • Review timecards and productivity for completeness and accuracy daily with the Shop Coordinator and Fabricators and submit to payroll.

  • Conduct Daily Huddle and ensure production goals and ensure a safe work environment.

  • Ensure that all shop equipment is calibrated and in good working order through visual inspection, periodic maintenance, and maintaining equipment logs.

  • Models The Gallegos Corporation mission and values at all times.

  • This position does have supervisory responsibilities.

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years of fabrication plant or relative experience preferred

  • Must have knowledge and proficient use of a variety of computer software applications in MS Office suite, Adobe, and AutoCAD, SlabSmith

  • Solid industry knowledge of materials and fabrication methods and ability to work with and maintain many types of machinery and equipment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Solid knowledge of blueprint reading and layout capabilities

    Certifications:

  • OSHA 10 training preferred or equivalent safety training

    Computer/Typing:

  • Must have ability to navigate several computer programs.

    Language Ability:

  • Must have a working knowledge of the English language to communicate with other crew members.
