Senior R/D Engineer Mechanical Devices
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Design and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and systems
Working closely with cross-functional teams to define clinical / user needs, design inputs, and functional outputs
Interface with internal and external suppliers, manufacturers, and customers
Coordinate and prioritize activities and deliverables to meet project goals and timelines
Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during research and/or product development
Designs studies to investigate specific life science questions within field of expertise
May be involved in product research and development and/or clinical trials
Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products
TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM : An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering RD, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrated experience in Product Development, from Concept through Launch, of mechanical or electro-mechanical devices or systems
Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
May have practical knowledge of project management
Medical Device experience preferred
Knowledge of ISO 13485, as well as FDA / Regulatory requirements preferred
