Parker Chomerics Production Supervisor in Woburn, Massachusetts

s a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and improving the safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale of the production area. This includes motivating and empowering team members through coaching and development opportunities. As a key leader, you will work cross functionally to advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy and overall, Parker Lean System. Responsibilities Directly oversees up to 50 team members, including team leads and hourly manufacturing associates. Promote and enforce compliance of safety policies and procedures, such as conduct safety investigations and audits. Ensures quality standards are met through continuous improvement such as root cause problem solving and reducing scrap / rework. Support supply chain through minimizing excess inventory, such as ensuring adequate stock for production. Direct and coordinate staffing resources to meet productivity targets in assigned areas Develop and deploy standardized work instructions of assigned department(s). Foster positive workplace culture through engagement, training, and empowerment initiatives. Conducts performance appraisals, coaching and counseling of team members. Administers disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policy Qualifications ? Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident ? Bachelor?s degree required. ? 2+ years of manufacturing work experience with progressive responsibility. Must have demonstrated leadership abilities. ? Must have ability to effectively work with people in a team environment and at various levels of the organization. ? Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills along with computer skills.
