Description: Eliot is seeking an overnight awake counselor for their developmental disabilities residential program. Our ideal candidate would have six months experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. Eliot?s Developmental Disabilities Division is a CARF accredited, individual-centered continuum of services that provides innovative and high quality programming to adults with developmental disabilities. The programs offer support and opportunities for individuals to enrich their lives, obtain housing and employment, develop personal skills and competencies, and enjoy a full range of community activities while developing a network of caring relationships. Responsibilities: Remain awake, alert and responsive to the needs of individuals throughout the scheduled shift. Provide support and training in the areas identified within the I.S.P. to promote personal growth and accomplishment (may include assistance with personal care and hygiene, as required). Administer medication according to MAP regulations Perform housekeeping tasks as necessary. Report all maintenance and safety issues to supervisor. Report significant health, psychiatric and behavioral issues to Program Manager Attend and participate in meetings and training Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 11p-9am Qualifications Skills Preferred Med Administration-Some Knowledge Computer Software Skills- Intermediate Experience with population-Intermediate Communication Skills-Intermediate Education Required High School or better in Other.
